United States + global fashion calendar

2026 Fashion Week calendar: LA, New York, Miami and the world.

Los Angeles is the home base, but the strongest fashion season story is global. This guide tracks the official dates that matter from August through October, explains who each week is best for, and separates public opportunities from trade or invitation-only schedules.

Before booking

Fashion Week is not one public ticket.

Many official runway shows are invitation-only, and LA Market Week is a credentialed wholesale event. Public access usually comes through official livestreams, designer activations, talks, exhibitions, pop-ups, and separately ticketed off-calendar programs. Check the organizer’s live schedule before paying for travel or resale tickets.

The eight fashion weeks worth following

Ranked by usefulness, distinct point of view, and planning value
1
September 10–15 · New York

New York Fashion Week: the best U.S. industry overview

The CFDA’s preliminary Spring/Summer 2027 calendar includes 70 runway shows and presentations. It is the strongest single week for understanding American designers, retail direction, celebrity visibility, and the conversation that carries into London, Milan, and Paris.

Best for: American fashion, media, buyers, stylists, and trend watchers. Practical note: follow the official calendar and designer channels; do not assume a third-party “NYFW ticket” grants access to the official schedule.

September 28–October 6 · Paris

Paris Fashion Week: the essential global finale

Paris closes the major womenswear circuit with the broadest luxury and directional impact. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode lists nine days for the Spring/Summer 2027 season and publishes the provisional official calendar, including show and presentation formats.

Best for: luxury, runway storytelling, major-house debuts, and international press. Practical note: official shows are generally invited, but FHCM identifies livestreams and digital presentations directly on its calendar.

3
September 22–28 · Milan

Milano Fashion Week: best for Italian luxury and craft

Milan is the strongest stop for readers tracking Italian houses, leather goods, tailoring, and the commercial side of luxury. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana lists the Spring/Summer 2027 edition for September 22–28.

Best for: luxury retail, Italian manufacturing, accessories, and brand strategy. Practical note: use Camera Moda for the official calendar and look for clearly labeled public exhibitions rather than assuming runway access.

September 17–21 · London

London Fashion Week: best for emerging creative voices

The British Fashion Council’s September program runs five days and remains the most useful major fashion week for readers interested in independent labels, culture, experimentation, and new designers before the luxury-heavy Milan and Paris stretch.

Best for: discovery, creative direction, fashion education, and cultural crossover. Practical note: the BFC’s digital hub is freely accessible, while physical-event access varies by listing.

August 3–7 · Copenhagen

Copenhagen Fashion Week: best early read on SS27

Copenhagen opens the guide’s international run with 34 announced shows and presentations. Its official NEWTALENT and One To Watch programs make it especially useful for finding designers before the larger September circuit becomes crowded.

Best for: Nordic labels, responsible-production conversations, and emerging talent. Practical note: build plans from the official schedule and city program because admission rules differ by event.

August 31–September 5 · Tokyo

Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO: best Asia-Pacific perspective

The Japan Fashion Week Organization places its next Spring/Summer season immediately before New York. Tokyo is valuable because it offers a different streetwear, construction, textile, and subculture lens from the European fashion capitals.

Best for: Japanese design, Asia-Pacific brands, streetwear, and material innovation. Practical note: the organizer does not issue a universal viewing pass; use individual show and public-program instructions.

October 13–17 · Miami

Miami Fashion Week: best U.S. international crossover

Miami Fashion Week returns after the main September circuit with runway presentations, fashion conversations, and curated programs around international talent, culture, sustainability, and technology. It is a broader fall event than the swim-focused programming held earlier in the year.

Best for: Latin American and international designers, resort markets, fashion technology, and networking. Practical note: applications are open for several participant types, but event-by-event admission still needs confirmation.

August 2–6 and October 12–15 · Los Angeles

LA Market Week: the useful local anchor

California Market Center lists kids’ collections August 2–5, women’s and men’s collections August 3–5, and a combined October market October 12–14. The New Mart extends its August market through August 6 and October market through October 15.

Best for: credentialed buyers, sales teams, and West Coast retail planning. Practical note: Market Week is trade-only. Public shoppers should use CMC’s free sample-sale Fridays instead.

Public LA plan

Shop the Fashion District without a buyer badge.

CMC’s sample-sale Fridays are free and open to the public. The remaining announced 2026 dates are August 28, September 25, October 30, November 6, 13, and 20, plus December 4, 11, and 18. Sales generally run from 9 AM to around 3 PM, with participating showrooms and hours changing by date.

How to use the guide

Choose the right fashion trip for you

First major fashion week

Choose New York for the clearest U.S. media coverage and the easiest way to follow American designers from one official calendar.

Luxury focus

Pair Milan and Paris, leaving September 29 as the practical handoff day because the official dates overlap.

Emerging designers

Prioritize Copenhagen, London, and Tokyo, then use their official digital channels when physical access is limited.

U.S. fall networking

Use New York for the main industry week and Miami for a later international, resort, culture, and technology crossover.

Southern California day plan

Choose a public CMC sample-sale Friday, then add Downtown LA dining and a current PerkNation event.

Buyer or retailer

Register through CMC or The New Mart before LA Market Week and verify the credentials, appointments, and individual showroom hours.
